All-Star Weekend Adventures

This past weekend I met someone during All-Star weekend. It was totally random and I still wonder how we never crossed paths before as we have friends in the same circle. Due to the frigid temps, I was totally not motivated to really hit the streets like one would during NBA All-Star and ironically it was also Valentine’s weekend *insert eye roll*. Everyone was in town so I at least wanted to see some familiar faces and hang with some friends as I had missed several flights trying to get there due to the snow. 

I went to meet up with a friend and he was with some other friends of ours and this other guy I had never met before. I missed the party they were at so we all just went to kick it at my homeboy’s Airbnb until the game came on. While we were there hanging out me and the new guy kinda hit it off. He said the next time he was in my city he wanted to take me out so we exchanged info. 

My flight to return home was delayed the next day so not expecting to see him for another month or so (or maybe even never again) I decided to hit him up. I told him I was in town an extra night and we should meet up for drinks. He picked a spot and we met up that night. It was super casual as we both were wearing sweatshirts and sneakers. I had zero expectations for the night as he just seemed cool and I was interested in hanging with him one-on-one outside of all of our friends. We spent 10 hours together. 

What I thought was going to be 1-2 drinks turned into a night of bar hopping. We started at a speakeasy then went to a rooftop, then a pub. Then, of course, the night isn’t complete without some late night eats followed by some more drinks. We didn’t want the night to end so it didn’t. We went back to my Airbnb and had a night full of drunk talk and drunk sex. I must admit I had an amazing time. 

Not sure if this was just a one-off experience or if I will even see this guy again but what a night! #ASWBae
